DIY — Simple Yet Impressive Soju Cocktails
When it comes to Soju, the craze never ends! Everyone knows the usual Somaek mix (Soju and beer), but do you know there are many more ways you can enjoy Soju? Here’s how you can be your own Soju mixologist & impress.
1. Yakult Soju

As this delightful drink gets more popular in bars, the prices go up! Though, did you know that you can easily DIY it?
All you need are:
1 bottle of Soju
1 or 2 bottles of Yakult (flavour of your choice)
1 300ml can of Sprite
2. Melona

This cocktail is arguably the best during summer. You’ll forget all about the heat with a sip of this icy, refreshing mix. What’s best is that you can get all these ingredients from a Korean convenience store!
2 shots of Soju
½ a glass of Chilsung Cider
1 Melona popsicle (or one of your choice, if you’re not a fan of melons)
3. Soju Lime Mojito
For all you sour lovers, all you’ve got to do is add lime or calamansi to your Soju.
1 shot of Soju
½ a glass of lime juice
Some sliced lime/calamansi for fancy garnishing
It’s also highly recommended to add a Melona popsicle to this for a sweet and tart flavour.
4. Soju Mimosa
When you can’t find or afford champagne, just replace it with Soju!

⅔ of a glass of orange juice
You can even pop the orange juice into the freezer for that slushie texture.
5. Soju-sangria
If you or your kakis like your cocktails strong yet heavenly, this is the drink to try. With just grapefruit and lemon juice shaken into the Soju, you’ll have yourself an exquisite Soju-sangria.
2 shots of Soju
½ a glass of grapefruit and lemon juice
Just for a little extra flair and sliced fruit garnish, you can go for freshly squeezed juice instead of packaged ones.
